Alzu DAIRY PROGAMME
Good quality hay and/or silage is the foundation for any successful dairy enterprise.
Alzu dairy rations are specially formulated by Animal Nutritionists to supplement the shortages at farm level
PREGNANT HEIFERS 6 MONTHS - 3 WEEKS BEFORE CALVING
Alzu VERS 18% - Feed 2-3 Kg / heifer / day with good quality hay/silage.
3 WEEKS BEFORE AND TILL CALVING
Alzu DC120 - This is a concentrate feed with a negative ionic balance, specially formulated for dry cows to prevent Milk Fever. Feed 4 - 6 Kg Alzu DC120 / cow/day with good quality hay/silage.
Avoid feeding high levels of Lucerne and limit maize silage to a max of 8kg /cow

FEEDING OF LACTATING COWS
It is imperative to use Concentrate Feed effective due to the high cost involved. It is recommended that Concentrate feed must be fed according to the cow's production.
The recommended mixed ratio for Concentrate Feed and Silage must be 40:60 to 60:40.
Alzu Dairy feeds are available in both meal and pellet form.
ECONO RANGE
The Alzu Econo range is a low density feed that is suitable for herds where fodder intake and availability is a problem.
The Alzu Econo Range is proven to be effective with herds that are fed in sheds and where meduim quality silage or hay is available.
The Econo range is available in 17, 19 and 21% protein compositions.
UREA WARNING

STANDARD RANGE
The Alzu Standard Range is recommended for Dairy Cows that are on a full feed programme.
This feed is very effective where the cows are consuming grass that has new growth and must walk far to graze. The standard range feeds supply sufficient energy that is effective for such circumstances.
The best results are achieved when this feed is fed with good quality fodder like Lucerne, Erogrostis hay and/ or siliage. The most effective feeding can be achieved when cows are divided into groups according to production. It is important that the top group is fed more Concentrate feed than g/ litre produced. The correct formulation of a full feed is necessary and it is recommended that an Animal Nutritionist be consulted for feed recommendations.
The Alzu Standard Range is available in mash and pellet form and in a 17, 19 and 21% protein composition.

Alzu HIGH ENERGY RANGE
The Alzu High Energy Range is recommended for high producing cows. It is recommended in a total mixed ration with good quality hay and/ or silage.
Good management is necessary to reach the full potential of top genetic milk cows.
The feed is specially formulated with balanced energy and protein levels to reach optimum production with the available hay and/or silage.
The Alzu High Energy Range is available in 17, 19 and 21% protein compositions and conains Urea.
